RULES & REGULATION
Video Talent Competition is a video-making competition among the students in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). The video is in form of documentary, short sketch, advertisement or public service messages. The main theme for this competition is “Knowledge”. However, participant may choose minor theme to be included in the video such as Friendship, Family, Patriotism or Islamic theme.
Participant may use any language in the video but need to provide English subtitle in the video except for English language.
COMPETITION INFORMATION, TERMS & CONDITION
1. This competition opens until 20th March 2012.
2. Main theme of this competition is KNOWLEDGE and participants may choose minor theme to be included in the video such as Friendship, Family, Patriotism or Islamic theme.
3. Any language may be used in the video but need to provide English subtitle in the video except for English language.
4. The participation is in a group of three people.
5. The video in DVD/CD format must be sent before 20th March 2012 on 5.00 p.m. to Organizer as mention below. Late entry will not be considered.
6. The duration of video is between 3 to 5 minutes.
7. Video can be in form of documentary, short sketch, advertisement or public service messages.
8. Video must not contain sensitive and controversial issue related to religion and culture.
9. Video must be participants’ original ideas and not plagiarized from other existing video.
10. All participating group is required to pay RM10 for the registration fees and certificates.
11. Organizer has rightful authority to refuse the video with insufficient information.
12. The video will not be return to participants.
13. All decision made by judges are final. Appeal will not be entertain.
14. The video is the participants’ copyright. By entering the Competition, participants give full authority to Organizer to use and edit the video before, during and after the Competition.
15. Organizer will not responsible to any claiming by any parties regarding the video from participants.
16. Completed registration form must be sent together with labelled DVD/CD.
17. The video may be submitted to Islamica Resource Center OR any venue and time that will be announced by the Organizer.

WINNER & AWARDS
The Winner will be selected from all eligible video received. If the participants are selected as a Winner, they will be notified of the selection of their video during Heart For Islam Closing Ceremony in April 2012 and the video will be shown to all audience publicly during Heart For Islam festival.
The winning videos will be given awards as follow:
·Video Talent’s Champion : RM 300, plaque for the group; and certificate for individuals
· 1st Runner Up : RM 200, plaque for the group; and certificate for individuals
· 2nd Runner Up : RM 100, plaque for the group; and certificate for individuals
· Consolation (2 spots) : Hamper for each group and certificate for individuals
There are also special awards that will be given to the participants:
·Judges’ Special Award (2 spots) : Plaque for each group and certificate for individuals
